What weapons did they use
The Vikings loved war and had many weapons such as, the bow and arrow which was used for hunting and battle. They were made from yew, ash or elm trees. these bows draw weight was about 90 pounds that made the bows effective killing range up to 200m. A yew bow has been found to have up to 100 pound draw weight. Arrow head (aka ammunition for the bow) were made out of iron and made in various shapes and dimension's. most arrow head were fixed to a arrow by a cut shaft mad for the head. Another weapon used was the sword was used with a shield. It featured a two sided blade.Swords were really expensive and if you had one you were higher up in the class of people. and last but not least ax's. Ax's were perhaps the most common hand weapon among Vikings, an ax wasn't just used for war, but also a common tool; they were cheep to produce.An axe head was made mostly out of iron , with a steel cutting edge.
